Lay Leadership - Shaping HealthWatch in Lincolnshire
Local health and social care services are changing rapidly. The ways in which people can participate in shaping these local services are also changing. From 1 April, a new local consumer champion, local HealthWatch, with the powers to hold local health services to account, will be set up in every city and county council across the country.
We want to increase involvement in these new structures. We want to make it easier for people from all backgrounds and interests to hold their local health and social care services to account.
One East Midlands, will be hosting a workshop to inspire and give people the skills and knowledge to build their confidence to get involved in a way that best suits them at on Thursday 14 March from 9.30am to 1pm at the headquarters of LIVES, Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service, Horncastle. The workshop will also provide a chance for you to meet and discuss issues with other people interested in shaping local health and social care services.
