Infrastructure

Infrastructure works to develop and connect voluntary and community organisations and to influence funders and policymakers. See below for a diagram that sets out the main functions of infrastructure organisations.

This functions map has been developed by National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) for the Value of Infrastructure Programme. It is based on PERFORM: the Outcomes Framework for Infrastructure.

Regional Voices

In each of the nine English regions there is a network which champions the engagement of the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in regional policy and strategy. They develop and support the contribution of the sector to regional progress and raise awareness and understanding of the sector's roles.
